Prime Minister Narendra Modi adopted a strong stance against terrorism at the SCO Summit, asserting that terrorism must never be used as a strategic tool under any circumstances. He stressed the need to dismantle the entire terror ecosystem and called for decisive action against safe havens that provide shelter and support to terrorists.
Addressing the summit, PM Modi said terrorism is not a threat to any single country but poses a serious challenge to regional and global peace and security. He urged SCO member states to work together in the fight against terrorism and take effective measures against the networks that provide terrorists with support, resources and safe havens.
The Prime Minister also underlined the need for a united and consistent approach in combating terrorism. He said there should be no room for double standards in the global fight against terror and called on all countries to take concrete and coordinated steps to tackle the threat.
PM Modi’s message at the SCO Summit comes at a time when concerns over terrorism and regional security remain high. His remarks highlighted the importance of collective international action to disrupt terrorist networks and strengthen regional security.
