A 46-year-old man was shot dead in Delhi’s Deoli Extension area, police officials said on Friday. The incident took place on Thursday, following which the Tigri police station received a call about a firing.
The deceased, identified as Devender Gupta, was found with a gunshot injury to his neck. Police said he was declared dead at the scene.
An acquaintance of the deceased was apprehended from the spot in connection with the incident. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting and the motive behind the killing.
