Lucknow Fire Tragedy: 15 Students Killed in Animation Training Centre Blaze

A devastating fire at an animation training centre in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, claimed the lives of at least 15 people on Monday, most of them students. The incident occurred in the Aliganj area of the city while around 21 students were reportedly present inside the facility. Emergency services rushed to the scene as firefighters and rescue teams worked to contain the blaze and evacuate those trapped inside.

According to police officials, two students sustained critical injuries and were admitted to hospital, while four others are reported to be in stable condition. Visuals from the scene showed rescue personnel carrying bodies from the building as large crowds gathered nearby. Authorities have launched rescue and relief operations and are providing medical assistance to the injured.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said the centre was engaged in training students in animation and digital design. The exact cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation has been initiated to determine how the blaze started. The tragedy has once again raised concerns about fire safety standards in educational and commercial establishments, coming just weeks after a deadly hotel fire in Delhi that claimed more than 20 lives.
