Two teenagers on their way to attend tuition classes were killed on Monday after a speeding pickup vehicle rammed into the motorcycle they were travelling on in Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district, police said. The incident took place when the two teenagers were travelling towards their tuition classes on the motorcycle.

The accident occurred near Pipra Bhodhar on the Itiyathok-Khargupur road, Circle Officer (City) Yogendra Singh said. The collision took place on the busy road, following which the two teenagers sustained serious injuries. Police and other officials reached the spot after being informed about the accident and took necessary action.
The spot has been identified as an accident-prone area, where more than two dozen people have died in road accidents over the past five years, officials said. The repeated accidents at the location have raised concerns over road safety, with officials continuing to monitor the area and the circumstances surrounding such incidents.
