Chandigarh: In a unique act of charity, philanthropist Raja D. King of JMD Group organised a “Money Langar” at Shani Dev Temple in Manimajra, where devotees and people in need received free McDonald’s meals along with cash assistance. The unexpected initiative left many beneficiaries surprised and emotional.

According to Raja D. King, true service is about helping people without prior announcements, allowing those in need to receive support as a pleasant surprise. During the event, volunteers distributed food packets and cash among devotees visiting the temple, bringing smiles to many faces. Raja D. King is known for organising unconventional social service initiatives. In the past, he has reportedly hosted around 25 meals for underprivileged people at five-star hotels in Amritsar. He has also distributed gold coins and provided financial assistance ranging from ₹500 to ₹1,500 to individuals based on their needs.
Speaking about his future plans, Raja D. King hinted that his next initiative will be a “Petrol Langar,” under which free petrol will be provided to people. Similar to his previous campaigns, the date and location of the initiative will not be announced in advance to ensure that beneficiaries receive the help as an unexpected gesture.The initiative has drawn attention for its unique approach to charitable giving and reflects an effort to support people through surprise acts of kindness.
