NEET Re-Exam Preparations Under Spotlight as Pradhan Holds Key Meeting

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the preparedness for the NEET UG re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21. The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Education, State Governments, the National Testing Agency (NTA), and Higher Education Institutions. Discussions focused on ensuring the smooth and transparent conduct of the examination across the country.

Emphasising the importance of coordination at every level, the Minister directed all stakeholders to work in close collaboration to avoid any disruptions during the re-examination process. He informed participants that officers designated by the Ministry of Education will be deployed across states to coordinate examination-related activities and monitor on-ground arrangements.

Pradhan also stated that these officers will report directly to a central Command Centre headed by the Director General of the NTA. The review meeting evaluated security measures, logistical readiness, and communication mechanisms to ensure a fair and efficient examination process for all candidates appearing in the NEET UG re-test.
