A shocking incident from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, has sparked widespread outrage across the country after an 11-year-old boy was reportedly pushed on a stretcher for nearly one kilometre in temperatures exceeding 40°C at a government hospital. A video of the incident quickly went viral on social media, raising serious concerns about patient care and the condition of healthcare services in public hospitals.

According to reports, the child and his family were forced to travel a long distance within the hospital premises due to the unavailability of proper transport arrangements. The incident drew sharp criticism from the public, with many questioning how a young patient could be made to endure such conditions during extreme summer heat. The viral footage prompted authorities to launch an immediate inquiry into the matter.
Following the investigation, strict action was taken against those found responsible. One government official was suspended, salary deductions were imposed on several staff members, and a private agency associated with hospital services was fined ₹1 lakh for negligence. Officials stated that accountability would be ensured and measures would be introduced to prevent similar incidents in the future. The episode has reignited debate over infrastructure gaps and service quality in government-run healthcare institutions.
