A shocking case has emerged from Lucknow where a doctor at a private hospital has been accused of sexually assaulting a female student after allegedly administering her a sedative injection during treatment.
According to police officials, the incident reportedly took place on May 18 after the student was admitted to the hospital due to health complications.
Allegations Against Doctor
As per the complaint filed by the victim, the doctor allegedly called her alone into the operation theatre during treatment.
Police said the doctor reportedly asked the female staff members and even the victim’s father to step outside the room before beginning the procedure.
The student later alleged that the doctor administered an intoxicating injection, after which she lost normal consciousness.
She has accused the doctor of sexually assaulting her during that period.
Police Investigation Underway
Deputy Commissioner of Police (North) Twinkle Jain confirmed that a case has been registered based on the victim’s complaint.
Police officials stated that the matter is being investigated seriously and evidence related to the hospital procedure and CCTV footage is being examined.
The accused doctor may also face medical and legal scrutiny as part of the investigation.
